Inget Bollsinne/ No Sense Of Balls, 2023

Hydra Lifeguard uses delicate coiling and hand building techniques to create the image of a hydra and lifeguard’s chair intertwined. Together, the familiarity of the lifeguard seat and the safety it represents is disrupted by the ancient hydra, appearing fossilised together as if a Lovecraftian extinction event has come and gone, for a moment creating a cute meeting of the two.
